Lepidozamia Remote Camp, D'Aguilar National Park, South East Queensland, Australia. A quick overnight hike and camp to finalise my gear for my upcoming Cooloola Great Walk next week. With the cold front coming thru, perfect for testing my sleep system at zero degrees! Beautiful walk in, rainforest, and a fire trail, smooth-ish surface, a few inclines to spice it up a bit, but overall so very "Glorious"! Encountered a storm on my way in, light rain, raingear not necessary, and setup my Durston X-MID Pro1 quick and easily. Winds started to increase around dark, so made decision to relocate my tent to under the shelter, to protect against branch falls, and, more importantly, to protect against the winds! BOM suggested the gusts were around 35-40kmh, nothing to sneeze at! It roared all night, like being at a waterfall, or a flooded creek, not gentle like the ocean. And in the morning it was still gusty! Beautiful morning, cool, indeed, 'felt like' temps zero to sub-zero. Nice! My gear worked well, and I am all set now for the Cooloola GW. Lovely campsite. Lots birds, parrots, wrens, etc. No sightings of snakes (although it was probably tooooo cold for them!) I would like to acknowledge the First Nations People on who's land I walked, the Jinibara people. Place names such as Enoggera and Boombana suggest Aboriginal origins. The Jinibara people are the Traditional Owners for much of this park. D'Aguilar National Park
