Monday Meditations with Jennifer - A Child of God

In today’s meditation, we stepped away from the expectations of the natural realm to explore a deeper, more intimate truth: what it truly means to be a child of the living God. We allowed ourselves to settle into the "heart work" of Monday, choosing to take our thoughts captive and exchange our old scripts for His divine reality. Anchored in the promise that God is a loving Father, we made a quiet but powerful decision to let go of the shadows left by earthly relationships. We leaned into His invitation to be taught the "secrets of sonship," releasing the images of a God who is aloof or uninterested and choosing instead to see the One who gives us His full attention. In the quiet of our secret place, a clearing filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the gentle rustle of leaves, we met Jesus. We visualized a great tree with a swing hanging from its branches, a symbol of the safety and joy found in His presence. It was here that we chose to believe that His Word is more real than the world around us, and that we have everything we need for life and godliness through knowing Him intimately. This meditation was an invitation to build a life where His opinion is the loudest voice we hear. It was a call to stop living by what we see, smell, or taste in the natural, and to start walking in the light of who He says we are: cherished, chosen, and fully loved. As we begin this week, hold onto the picture He gave you. Ponder it, return to it every hour, and let it become more real to you than any circumstance you face. *Enter this week with your eyes lifted.* He is longing to teach you what it means to be His child and you are invited to experience that goodness in the land of the living.
