The Port Road Branch, a 70 mile connection between Enola Yard and Perryville, MD, has always been my favorite rail line to photograph and videotape trains. For the most part it is difficult to photograph well as most trains don't run in the daylight, and when they do they are usually running out of the sun. Getting good shot feels like an accomplishment! The scenery is great as well, as the line follows the Susquehanna River the entire way, with very hilly country surrounding it (esp. the south end of the line). To finish off my old DV footage, I uploaded this monster collection of trains I've shot on the Port Road. This is about 99% of the footage I have, as I had a few scenes shot completely in the dark that didn't turn out too well. The shots are seen in order of location, starting out at Enola and working our way east to Perryville. There's lots too see in here, excursion trains, rare moves, Conrail power, etc. Sit back and enjoy!!!
