The Wale's Tale at Breckenridge Colorado, is an experts only bowl that is located in between the summits of Peak 8 and 7. Accessible by the Imperial SuperChair, the Whale's Tale is one of the more popular bowls at the resort, and is one of the most famous bowls in all of Colorado. Whale's Tale gets its name from the tale - like formation seen between the two peaks, and is distinctly noticeable from many points within the town of Breckenridge. Its extreme terrain and lack of natural borders make the bowl stand out amongst other parts of the mountain, and is even better when the cornices turn into awesome jumps! The bowl still packs quite a punch for 12,989 feet in elevation, and on a good day, you can see Copper Mountain and some of the Sky Chutes beyond the boundary of Breckenridge. Hope you enjoy!
