In this video, I break down my average monthly expenses for 2025—what I actually spent during a year living and working in Thailand, maintaining a house in Laos, and personal business in in the USA while somehow managing expenses across three+ countries and multiple currencies. The process of pulling this together is a little complicated and probably unnecessary, because apparently I like making my life harder than it needs to be.... but I love it. Over the years, I’ve developed a system to track everything, and this video shows what my normal, everyday costs really looked like. I also had a few large, unexpected expenses along the way, and thank God for an emergency fund, because without it this video would have had a very different tone.
