091725 PROCESSION ESCORTS FALLEN DPS TROOPER

Trooper Jerry Adamick Jr., who was responding to a weapons disturbance in the Trails End Subdivision on Monday night, died after his vehicle left the roadway on FM 945 in San Jacinto County, just outside Cleveland. His body was escorted from the Forensic Center in Beaumont to the funeral home in Huntsville. Over 80 DPS and other units participated in the procession as it wound through the backroads of East Texas. Firefighters, citizens, and law enforcement lined the roadway in many areas. Several motorists exited their vehicles and rendered a salute to the Trooper.
