Seventy-second track day. Last minute West event to shakedown new camber arms and alignment. After blistering the outside of my new V730s out at Buttonwillow earlier this month. Put the car in the garage and installed rear camber arms. Able to go from -1.7 to -2.5 rear camber. With a little more aggressive rear toe. Resulted in a car that is more eager to turn. Ended up beating my 565-day old PB. Seems to have made a difference! If only by .15 seconds. New setup did take a few sessions to acclimate. Couple times in the early sessions I had to recover mid corner from balance being different. Trail braking required a little more finesse too. By the third and fourth session I was recalibrated and back into the groove. Turn 2/3/4/7/10 all required tweaks compared to my old setup. Think my 4 and 7 are the two I still need to refine further. Never quite got them back down how i had it before. Ran with Turn8 and their open 6hr track format. So, limited cars and all the track time I could want. Pretty wide-open track for the most part. Weather was also 10/10 imo. Drivers were supposed to be 20+ event veterans to attend. Have a feeling this was not the case for several people. Outside a few isolated cars. Sessions were smooth and most drivers had a brain behind them. Finishing out the year at Sonoma next month and Laguna in December. Thunderhill West 10/24/25 hosted by Turn8.
