From Wikipedia: Burn is the eighth studio album by English rock band Deep Purple. It was released on 15 February 1974 by Warner Bros. and Purple/EMI internationally. It was the first album to feature the new lead singer David Coverdale who replaced the outgoing and legendary lead singer, Ian Gillan as well as new bass player and vocalist Glenn Hughes (joining from Trapeze) along with the original Deep Purple line-up including Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Jon Lord on keyboards, and the master, Ian Paice (Rock Solid Icon) on drums. The drums on this song are "invigorating" to say the least! Ian Paice throws down some incredible, very quick chops that for me anyway, are challenging to even attempt to replicate (nearly impossible)! He's the master of chops in so many songs and is so tight, solid, creative and powerful while being very articulate with every stroke! After his 3 year stint with Deep Purple (1973-1976), David Coverdale went on to form Whitesnake! With his outstanding voice and commercially successful compositions, Whitesnake became one of the most popular and successful Rock and Roll bands of the 80's. In the late 80's, he brought in one of my favorite legendary and iconic double bass drummers of all time, Tommy Aldridge (1987–1990, 2003–2007, 2013–present)! A quick mention on Tommy - He is noted for his work with numerous bands and artists since the 1970s, bursted onto the scene and blew people away with Black Oak Arkansas, Pat Travers Band, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, Ted Nugent, Thin Lizzy, Vinnie Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen.
