DIY eGPU Project Part 1: Oculink Integration & Custom 12V Power Delivery

Welcome to Part 1 of my Modular PC Eco-system build! In this episode, we’re laying the foundation for the Graphics Pod by moving away from standard ATX power and building a streamlined, high-performance external GPU solution. We’re focusing on the "Logic-to-GPU" bridge using Oculink, which offers superior bandwidth over traditional USB4 or Thunderbolt solutions for an eGPU setup. In this video, you’ll see: The Wiring: Mapping out the 12V rails from the power supply. Soldering & Prep: Customizing the power leads for the Oculink PCIe dock board to ensure stable power delivery under load. The Connection: Properly seating the M.2 Oculink adapter and connecting the high-speed PCIe cable.
