With the official publication of ISO/SAE 21434 a few months ago and UN Regulation No. 155, which will take effect as early as 2022, the first efforts for standardization and regulatory obligations are finding their way into the practice of the automotive industry. However, the efficient establishment of cybersecurity is not yet part of everyday automotive life. At the level of the organization, in development projects and with a view to the individual, the full scope of all dimensions has by no means been fully grasped. In our consulting work as well as in the educational programs of the CYRES Academy, we repeatedly find that there is a need to catch up.
