RS3 Ethanol Content Sensor Install DS1 Flex Fueling

The DS1 supports flex fueling with an ethanol content analyzer also known as a flex fueling sensor. Since we plan to run this car mostly on the street it's great to have the flexibility to blend fuel when we inevitably get stuck without E85 on road rallies. Before we bring the car in to have an external gate installed to get the boost back down to 91/93 octane boost levels we decided to mess around with some E85 and getting the sensor installed. As soon as we plugged the DS1 back in and fired up the car the ethanol content was immediately updated. I had manually entered E82 when I first pumped E85 into the car. The ethanol content sensor sensor was reading 61% ethanol content as soon as the car was turned on! With a proper tune the ethanol sensor will allow the car to adjust boost and timing based on the ethanol reading.
