A high level overview of a Lithium Ion Battery Management System. Not using a BMS puts capital and lives at risk. Using one, allows you to tame the power in Lithium batteries and drive electric cars fast on the motorway. This is the first in a series of videos in which I outline the basic concepts underpinning the energy transition, including electric cars, solar, home storage, wind turbines, electric bicycles or even hydro. This is my knowledge from building 3 custom electric cars and driving them 20k miles condensed into short and easily digestible videos.
