Clinton getting into car STORYLINE Former US President Bill Clinton expressed concern about Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's grave illness, and the repercussions it could have on the fragile Middle East peace process, while visiting French president Jacques Chirac in Paris on Monday. Clinton wished Sharon well and said his stroke, like the assassination of former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, "puts yet another obstacle in the path of the peacemakers." Following his meeting with Chirac, Clinton called Sharon a "remarkable man" and said those who believe in peace in the Middle East "are in his debt" for his recent pullout from Gaza.
