Meon Hill, near Mickleton, Warwickshire - Scenic Walks

Meon Hill is located between the villages of Mickleton and Upper & Lower Quinton in Warwickshire and is 194 metres above sea level at its highest point. Although some folk law, myths & legends form part of the history of this hill, which is also the site of an unsolved murder committed in 1945, this video focuses on the peaceful nature of the hill and is an opportunity to see the beautiful views particularly towards the Vale of Evesham and the Malvern Hills. On a very clear day the Black Mountains in West Wales can be seen. The hill was home to an Iron Age hillfort of impressive proportions and the fort's remains are still visible as earthworks. Meon Hill is on private land and permission needs to be granted from the farmer, and land owners, to walk on the hill.
