When God Brings You Through the Wilderness | June 24, 2025

Today I share a very personal journey—one that brought me face-to-face with fatigue, frustration, even anger toward God. There was a season in my life when I had given everything—my strength, my future, my family—to follow the call of God. And yet, I found myself weak, confused, and questioning everything. It was in that wilderness place, that dry valley of the soul, where I learned some of the most life-changing truths about the love of God. Like Psalm 107 says, “They cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them… He led them forth by the right way.” I didn’t feel it at the time. I didn’t understand what He was doing. But He was leading me. I cried out in my distress—more like an accusation than a prayer—and God responded with the words, “I love you, Carter.” That moment broke me, and from there He began to show me what truly pleases Him: not effort, not performance, not striving—but faith. Simply obeying what He’s asked me to do and trusting Him with the results. Out of that season, He gave me a message on the New Covenant—one I didn’t fully understand, but later learned was the fulfillment of a promise He had made years earlier to David Wilkerson. And now, I believe it’s a message for the Church in these last days. If you feel empty, lost, or worn down, take heart. God is leading you through for a reason. The breakthrough may come after the valley. The revelation may follow the tears. But He is good, and He will satisfy the longing soul. Hold on—He’s bringing you to a dwelling place.
