This is the first new episode I’ve recorded in a while, and it’s also one of the episode I most enjoyed recording! I’m sure part of that is the fact that I forgot how fun it is to have conversations with smart people about complex health and wellness topics, and this interview was a great reminder. The other reason I enjoyed it so much is due to the format of this interview, which is a bit different from some of my previous ones. Instead of interviewing a guest about their knowledge of experience, this time my previous guest, coach, and now good friend Lawrence Neal of the Corporate Warrior podcast interviews me about my journey with high intensity strength training. The first 20-30 minutes is specifically about that journey and how much progress I’ve made, but then we dive into a number of different health and wellness topics, discussing how our understanding of, and approach to each area has changed over the past year or so. We touched on so many topics that I’ve wanted to discuss for quite a while, but didn’t feel I had a good opportunity to do so, and this chat with Lawrence filled that gap perfectly. Lawrence and I discuss how high intensity training fits into other aspects of health and wellness, why I dove into it so wholeheartedly, and the results it’s helped me achieve; how our opinions about diet have changed and why I’ve stopped doing intermittent fasting; the effect of technology on stress and sleep, the importance of sleep to overall health, and so many other things I couldn’t begin to cover them all here. So enjoy this chat with my friend Lawrence Neal, host of the Corporate Warrior podcast.
