Mid of women sheltering STORYLINE: People were seen sheltering in Jerusalem and Haifa, Israel on Saturday as sirens blared out, warning of missile attacks from Iran. The United States and Israel launched an attack earlier on Saturday on Iran, with the first apparent strike happening near the offices of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian media reported strikes nationwide, and smoke could be seen rising from the capital. After the strikes, Israel issued a nationwide warning after Iran reportedly launched missiles targeting the country. The Israeli military said air defense systems would be activated. Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard said it had launched its “first wave” of drones and missiles targeting Israel, suggesting it planned further attacks.
