Here I explain how I swapped a 5.7L Hemi engine into my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I believe this is the first video created that covers in detail everything you need to successfully do it. This same method can be used for other years too. 10,000 mile update: • 4.7L to 5.7L HEMI Swap 10,000 Mile Update ... The ABS module part number you need is P52121407AB. The ABS module communicates the vehicle speed to the PCM and tire size can be programmed with the right scan tool to correct speedometer accuracy if needed. I did a video on that scan tool here: • Perfect scan tool for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep?... PCM The PCM part number you will need is P56029161AB (other part numbers work but with programming changes I discuss in the 10,000 Mile Update video). The PCM sets cruise control but requires input from the ABS module to function correctly. These two must work together. SKIM If you have SKIM, just delete it. You won’t be able to write your original 4.7L VIN to your 5.7L PCM (which is needed to match the unprogrammable ROM of the SKIM module) because it will trip the ABS and Brake lights with the “VIN Mismatch” code. So if you have SKIM, permanently remove the module before putting in the new PCM. Only 5.7L ABS modules will work with 5.7L VINs without tripping the code. I suspect this is due to the 8th-digit “D” in a 5.7L VIN vs. the “N” in a 4.7L VIN. WIRE DIAGRAMS — https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-yt8... Big thanks to my friends Liam and Nick for giving me a hand taking things apart and teaching me how to weld, and to my parents for giving me the space to work.
