🔊🔛 Not all wineries are public-facing with wine flights in tasting rooms. On a visit to Taylor Fladgate’s Nogueira Winery, @FladgatePartnership CEO Adrian Bridge gave us a behind-the-scenes look at its laboratory, wine factory, cooperage, and storehouse, where an automated misting system consistently simulates optimal humidity—especially on dry, hot summers. (The 2025 summer was particularly brutal and raisin-producing, with 40 days above 40ºC / 104ºF.) Once a independent winery gone bankrupt, Nogueira was acquired by Taylor Fladgate to give it a new life (plus a new building facade) where, under the helm of their diligent winemaker Joanna, it processes grapes from 22 grape growing partners into @Fladgate_wines—not only within their own portfolio, but also other brands like Kirkland. (Costco’s Old Tawny Port is aged ten years.)
