Recently purchased this book and will be working through it over the coming months. Very excited about this book and looks to be my best book buy every at $17 including postage (I feel guilty about paying so little for such a great book - sorry Lyle). Lots of glossy pictures and diagrams plus lesson plans for the reader to get outdoors and practice the techniques over four weekends sessions. The only thing I can't understand is why I haven't seen any talk or reviews on this book until now. Reading Lyle's background and experience in SAR & its instruction was enough for me to purchase it and I plan to do a review once I've finished the book. Having been on a number of land based missing person searches this year I will be particularly interested in the sections relating to navigation during bad weather conditions.
