Part Four of the video series in which we explore the history and archeology of the Winfield Mounds, the prehistoric effigy mounds and associated village site, located in the Winfield Mounds Forest Preserve in Winfield, Illinois. This episode features a 22 minute interview with Doug Kullen, the archeologist primarily responsible for documenting the DU-33 site and for bringing it to the attention of both the archeological world, as well as the local communiity in DuPage County, Illinois. This video also describes Doug Kullen's work and contribution to the site, both from an archeological point of view, as well as his role in restoring the mounds. We finish with an overall summary of current knowledge of the mounds and village site, based on the work of Neumann, Jennings, Kullen, and others. Thanks for watching!
