What’s it Like on the Other Side of You? | King Solomon Bible Study (Part 3)

What do folks think about when your name comes up? What would your closest friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers say about you? In this message, which is a part of our Bible study series on King Solomon, we look at the honest feedback that one wealthy, high-powered national leader provided to another. THE VISIT: We learn of the Queen of Sheba visiting King Solomon in 1 Kings 10. From afar, she had heard a lot about what all he had done; the buildings and walls he had built, the type of leader he was and the relationship he had with God. Despite the huge inconvenience, she decided to check it all out for herself. THE LESSON: As this intriguing summit of two world leaders wrapped up, they exchanged gifts and the bold Queen of Sheba told Solomon what it was like to be on the other side of him. There is much to learn from this exchange. And in this summit of two world leaders, we look for lessons we can apply to our lives and our walk with God. OUR APPLICATION: Our blind spots are called blind spots because we can’t see them. But they do exist. And what we learn about those blind spots may hurt us initially, but they eventually help us. It takes just to courage to ask...  What do people say after visiting you and me?  What’s your testimony?  Who is getting credit for the good things you have accomplished?
