ANGRY King Cobra!

Being the longest venomous snake in the world, king cobras definitely live up to their name! On top of being incredibly intelligent and venomous, kings are the top snake predator in their natural range. These snakes can patrol massive spans of land on the hunt for other snakes; they are primarily active in the morning and evening. King cobras, like most elapids, possess neurotoxic venom which directly targets the nervous system. This often causes paralysis in prey items, or even predators, fairly quickly. Peanut is a small adult female king cobra. These snakes can get upwards of 14 feet long (4.25 meters) and can have a substantial girth. Kings often rely on open mouth charging and hooding up as their main defense mechanism, but they will utilize a venomous bite if necessary.
