Solar System Photography Filters. A brief overview.

When I first became interested in photographing the solar system objects it was with modified webcams. Eventually I purchased a dedicated color Astrophotography camera. I now use a mono camera and filter wheel. I don’t think I’d ever switch back to OSC. Information on how to photograph the Moon, Sun, and planets is available everywhere. What seems to be harder to find is information on specialized photography filters. That’s why I made this video. My goal is to briefly show what’s widely used and effective in one place. I hope the information is helpful. Many people think planetary imaging is cut and dry. The amazing photos you see by guys like Mr Go and Mr Peach are complex and require intricate processes. Solar system imaging is its own beast. The absolute best images are shot using mono cameras and filters.
