Shimo Saturday Soothoro in Syriac

This is a very short form of the Soothoro of Saturday from the Shimo. The first qolo has 4 stanzas; however in this video only the first stanza is chanted. Only the alternate stanzas of the Boutho of Mor Yaqub is chanted in this video. For Syriac full lyrics and the English translation refer to pages 884 to 888 https://archive.org/details/awsarslaw... The Malayalam translation included with this video is the one by the Late Malankara Malpan and Arch Chor Episcopa Kaniamparambil Kurian; that was published in 1976. The more popular translation is the one that was published 2 years later in 1978, under a collaboration of Konatt Abraham Malpan and Shri C. P Chandi. In this video the chanter is Fr. M. P George.
