The New Course at St. Andrews is an authentic links experience, known by locals as a tough but fair test of golf. Designed by Old Tom Morris and opened in 1895, it's the second oldest course in the world, hence its ironic name. It is often considered more difficult than its famous neighbor, the Old Course, due to tighter driving areas and more abundant gorse bushes. The back nine features notorious "homeward holes" that require focus as you make your way back toward the town and clubhouse. It offers a great value and a less crowded, pure Scottish golf experience compared to the Old Course.
