Ys X is such a good game despite the lack of exploration and verticality. I really love final battle's scene direction; Rollo shielding Lila is incredibly sweet and there's that Adol final slash. Honestly the scenes leading up to the final battle is good too. Was way overleveled for that final battle because I did the superboss first, but with how many garbage Lila throw around in the fight and how many phases that fight has, I don't care. And I got way too lucky too, getting two misses in a row at the last phase. But I'll take being lucky after however many days I spent with Vermodr. Oh god, Vermodr. I shat on Odr and the calamity dragon thing before, and the game immediately proved me wrong. Vermodr is frustrating as hell with his random lightning strikes 3rd phase onward. I've died multiple times due to stray lightning out of screen while trying to flash dodge his blue attacks.
