This week, something small happened with my son that stayed with me. He brought home a school reading book and for the first time, I saw a limb-different character represented in a way that felt real thanks to LimbBo Foundation! What surprised me most wasn’t the book itself, it was the fact that my son didn’t ask a single question. That moment made me realise something important: representation doesn’t work in isolation. It works when it’s lived, repeated, and normalised — long before children even have the words to ask about it. In this episode, I share that moment, reflect on raising children around disability, and look back at experiences, like time spent at EAFA camps, that quietly shaped my boys’ understanding months before this book ever appeared. Children aren’t born uncomfortable with disability. They learn it OR they learn ease. Thanks for being here.
