Over the last year I made a big change in my training. I started adding a lot more side pressure work together with different cupping variations, and honestly it completely changed my armwrestling. When these two elements start working together, everything becomes different on the table. Instead of fighting for position for a long time, I can take my opponent over the center and immediately drive sideways. Side pressure alone is not enough. Cupping alone is not enough. But when you combine them and train them from multiple angles, you start creating real control. This kind of training builds the ability to: control the opponent’s hand secure the center of the table and finish the match with side pressure before your opponent even understands what happened.
