Within a multi-disciplinary team, Healthcare workers should lead healthcare sessions as they bring specific knowledge of culture, community and primary healthcare issues to that session. Engagement, establishing a connection and building trust is fundamental in building a rapport with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as it contributes to better health consultation and positive health outcomes.
