Designed to transport personnel, critical supplies, and spare parts — particularly to aircraft carriers at sea — the CMV-22 combines the vertical lift capability of a helicopter with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft. Its extended range and versatility make it a vital asset for advanced logistics and resupply missions. Bell 407 – Georgia State Patrol The Bell 407 operated by the Georgia State Patrol is a lightweight, highly maneuverable helicopter ideal for aerial patrols, search and rescue, and tactical operations support. Outfitted with advanced communications systems and high-definition FLIR cameras, the Bell 407 enables officers to monitor wide areas quickly and effectively. Its reliability and agility make it a crucial tool in Georgia’s public safety missions. T-6B Texan II – U.S. Navy The T-6B Texan II is the U.S. Navy’s primary training aircraft, designed to prepare the next generation of military pilots. Based on the Pilatus PC-9, the T-6B features state-of-the-art digital avionics, advanced navigation systems, and capabilities for instrument flight training. Agile, rugged, and highly responsive, the Texan II plays a key role in shaping aviators for the demanding world of naval aviation. Location – Cobb County International Airport (KRYY) These impressive aircraft were spotted at Cobb County International Airport – McCollum Field (KRYY), one of Georgia’s busiest general aviation airports. With its modern infrastructure and strategic location near Atlanta, KRYY serves as a hub for corporate operations, flight training, and special visits from military and law enforcement aircraft.
