How do you get your whole HR team working together and lined up behind delivering against your organisation’s priorities? As organisations become more flexible, responsive and customer-driven, so must HR. We have to fight against the tendency for HR to become a separate silo and also unite all our HR talent into one strong team that’s focused on delivering value. While many have presented different HR operating models, it’s clear that the Ulrich 3-legged HR model of Expertise, Business Partnering and Shared Services still makes sense. It hasn’t always been successfully implemented, and sometimes goes off course. In this session we: Explored the traps that HR functions have fallen into and discussed how to overcome them Opened up our thinking about how you can choose how to operate and respond to today’s demands Provided inspiration and ideas on how to bring your HR team/s together and challenge how they can operate as One HR Team This event was facilitated by Deborah Wilkes FCIPD. Deborah has worked with leaders and managers for 25 years running development workshops and as a coach. Clients have included global, national and local organisations, private and public sector. She worked her way up in HR and set up and led UK and European HR functions. In 2016 Deborah began researching what makes great HR and Enable-HR International was born. Their unique framework of 7 HR Enablers facilitates development and also evaluation – self, team and 360. Deborah’s book ‘Empower HR’ was published in January 2021.
