- Miles and Hennie first met in the spring of 2025, and claimed an unoccupied osprey platform as their northern home. They had two youngsters, and they worked together to raise them. Sadly, Chick 2 passed away on 7/12 at 28.5 days of age, and Chick 1 passed away on 7/15 at 31.5 days of age. Despite the tragedy, Miles and Hennie continued on. We saw them at the nest together several times through the middle of August. They most likely have both left for their migration by this time (mid-September). Godspeed, Hennie and Miles. You are a splendid couple. Stay safe, and please return to us next spring.
