The third of six episodes where Richard and Elvis tell the story of William Brewer and the Whitney Geological Survey who in 1864 became the first explorers to set foot into the area of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Their adventures are recaptured following the same trail, climbing the same mountains and viewing the same dramatic discoveries some 158 years later. This episode covers their trek across the Sierras eastwards towards Mt Brewer.
