They said, “Isn't he the son of Joseph?” People everywhere often add sentiments to religion, we are scared of our nakedness. It is not as though we are ashamed of it but we are afraid of our nakedness, because of this fear, we try to cover our nakedness with leaves to protect the shame. When John the Baptist was born, they wanted to give him another name not John because it will affect the family tree, he will be untraceable to the family but God made him become the greatest of men. The same is seen here about the Lord Jesus, they knew his family, age, etc and the leaders believed he was too young to speak against them which is what we are experiencing today again. The scripture is our authority not age, not class; enough of our classism and uphold the integrity of the word of God. Let us Pray;- Father, break the chains of classism in our nation. Father, we pray the church will return to upholding your word above all else. Father, we pray the church will despise the shame of our overhauling which you have begun and embrace the Glory ahead.
