A piece that feels like the arrival of spring. I’m not quite free of winter yet, but my heart is starting to lean forward. Warm air carried by the wind— somehow, it feels familiar. The sunset I watched as a child. The first time I learned how sweet flower nectar can be. But now, as an adult, I find myself thinking, “I’m glad it wasn’t a poisonous flower.” I once tried tasting a ball of mud. It was nothing more than a lump of sand. And though today is just an extension of those childhood days, I can’t go on adventures the way I used to. Now my thoughts come first, my actions follow later— and somehow, I’m always brought back to the present. Perhaps letting myself drift with the spring breeze and taking one small step forwardis, for me, a kind of adventure now. Thank you for watching.
