Checking over my car for a trip to Morning Shift Cars & Coffee at Porsche Experience Center LA, I noticed wetness around the carburetor accelerator pumps. When I turned on the fuel pump, one of them dripped fuel almost immediately. I have a rule against Car-B-Que incidents especially in my own Porsche. So I enjoyed the show without this car. When I got home, I spent the afternoon repairing the leak and this video shows how and why they fail. I also went through the entire carburetor and I show you how to do it and go over the theory of operation of the carburetor. This is a Porsche 911 Zenith 40 TIN, but most of the operation and rebuild procedures are the same as Weber carbs. I note some of the differences in the video.
