Mouth music | en.dru | TEDxBrno

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. He grew up in northern Bohemia and graduated from Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. He has been into beatbox since he was 12 years old. In 2012, he became the vice-champion of the world in musical looping, or musical improvisation with the use of a loopstation. The machine loops the tracks that en.dru creates with his voice and mouth right in front of the audience. That is how the live "accapella" improvisations of various musical styles (electro, hip-hop, jazz, funky, ethno) with beatbox effects, musical instrument imitation or rap come to existence. En.dru's beatbox show gets on a whole new musical level. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
