Is this really the oldest working clock in the world? The Salisbury Cathedral clock is often called that, but historians still debate just how old it really is. Some say it was built around 1386, others argue it might be from the late 14th or even early 15th century. Either way, it’s very old, and still running. In this video, I break down how the Salisbury clock works, no dial, no hands, just massive iron gears driving a bell. Medieval engineers came up with some seriously clever solutions to keep time, and I tried to bring that to life in 3D. I spent a lot of time modeling the cathedral and recreating the mechanism as accurately as I could, so you can really see how everything fits together. Hopefully it helps you appreciate the craftsmanship behind this medieval machine.
