...I did it. I somehow actually did it. At first this gauntlet seemed nigh impossible for a grass type team, and yet I pulled through! Anyways I'll put the timestamps here, and the wall of text musing on this below it, hehe. 0:00 Anamnestic Terra 1:15 Mordant Urchin Lin 3:06 Anomaly Arceus The one stipulation is that I ended up saving in between the fights, which I haven't done for any of the other gauntlets, even on my first playthrough. Given the degree to which I needed to rely on luck, but had very consistently working strategies otherwise for those first two fights, I mainly did this just to save myself time, since I knew exactly what I needed to do each turn those fights, and having to do the whole thing over again cuz I got unlucky was starting to grate on me. I wish I could've found a slightly less luck dependant strategy, but I'm still super proud of myself for doing this at all. So, fight breakdown. The first fight is super simple, just set up boosted victory dances on a very sleepy puppy, and then one-shot everything else. Xerneas is a roll depending on what striker level close combat hits, but at max attack, the roll is in our favour. Second fight was all about clearing the way for Celebi to sweep. This was tricky to figure out since it couldn't KO Dusk Mane Necrozma without 2 nasty plots, but setting up on those first two was incredibly unreliable since I'd need 3 sleep turns on them both. I instead settled on trying to get good luck on just Necrozma, and dealing with everything else normally. It was also neat getting to see that niche interaction of 2 trick rooms cancelling each other out. The last fight was a bit of a mad scramble, honestly. No safe way to setup sweep, so it was all about making the best use of each member of the team to ensure we could reach the PULSE Arceus with at least two pokemon remaining to take it out with a destiny bond. ...And with that, I've beaten Pokemon Reborn's postgame for the first time, and with only grass types at that! Thank you all for watching these videos, it's been fun getting to share these! IDK what I'll be doing next, but I do wanna upload more stuff here at some point. I'll be playing Pokemon Rejuvination next, but I dunno if I'll want to upload my first playthrough. I might end up sharing other game challenge runs here eventually? Or even some actual high effort content? Who knows! But I am enjoying uploading here, and I'd like to do more of it at some point. c:
