Most of us don’t break from one big catastrophe—we fray from a thousand tiny weights: expectations, regret, comparison, the constant pressure to “handle it.” Jesus doesn’t start by demanding you perform better. He starts by inviting you closer. His rest isn’t escapism. It’s exchange. You bring the burden you’ve been dragging; He gives you a different way to carry life—one shaped by gentleness, humility, and trust. The world teaches you to prove yourself. Jesus teaches you to abide—so obedience flows from relationship, not panic. When you stay near Him, the light returns: not the fake kind that hides wounds, but the kind that heals them. Today, don’t negotiate with your exhaustion. Bring it. Let His presence recalibrate your pace, your priorities, your heart. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28–30) "Lord Jesus, I’m tired in ways I don’t even have words for. I bring You my burdens, my striving, my fear of not being enough. Teach me Your way—gentle, steady, true. Help me abide in You today so my choices come from love, not pressure. Give me rest that reaches my soul. Amen."
