Welcome to Pai Walking Street! Join us as we explore this bustling area, starting at 5:00 PM when the vendors begin setting up, and again at 7:00 AM when the streets are quieter. Pai Walking Street is located on Chaisongkram Road, Wiang Tai Subdistrict, near the Pai Bus Station. Originally, a small market for the local Pai community, It began with hill tribe people and villagers selling their products to tourists. Over time, more vendors arrived, and the market grew into a lively hub. As more Thai and international visitors flocked to the area, the road was converted into a pedestrian-only zone, transforming it into the vibrant walking street we know today. During the hot and rainy seasons, the market operates only on Fridays and Saturdays, but in winter, it’s open every day. During the day, Pai Walking Street is relatively quiet. It’s a perfect spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or a coffee. You can also rent scooters here to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Along the street, you’ll find various clothing and souvenir shops, and accommodations like hotels and hostels. Around sunset, the street comes alive with market stalls lining both sides of the road. Known as the Pai Night Market, it offers an incredible variety of local street food that’s a must-try for any visitor. In addition to food, you’ll discover artists showcasing their works, from handmade jewellery to beautiful paintings. Depending on the season, the market stretches the length of the road, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll while sampling the street’s offerings. After 10:00 PM, most market stalls and food vendors start closing up, but the restaurants and bars stay open late into the night. Many bars feature live music or DJs, creating a lively atmosphere to end your evening. Thank you for joining us on this journey through Pai Walking Street.
