Soooo a little backstory, one day at high school track practice I tore my quad SO bad. It was completely my own fault... I barely warmed up and had shorts on...mind you it was the beginning of outdoor season (my track people know it’s FREEZING COLD at the beginning of outdoor if u live in the northeast 🥶😂). I started running “ins and outs” which are basically short acceleration sprints around the turn into jogs on the straightaway. Essentially building up to maximum speed to abruptly slowing down in cold weather with minimal warm up caused me to tear my quad horrrrribly, resulting in a hematoma. To this day, my quads look different & the one I tore is harder for me to build. IT’S SO FRUSTRATING & I wish I could go back in time and slap 16 year old me 👋🏼 moral of the story, always warm up 🙂 Fast forward to now, utilizing unilateral movements is absolutely crucial for my leg training. If you suffer from muscle imbalances in your legs, you NEED to be doing unilateral exercises!! These are some of my faves primarily to hit the quads, lemme know what yours are...I need them all :,) 💔 2) I was in the mood for a little extra burn today 🥵 so I threw this circuit in at the END of my leg workout.
