The Australian MotoGP will move from Phillip Island, Victoria to Adelaide's street circuit from November 2027, marking the first time the Grand Prix returns to Adelaide's city streets since Formula One left nearly 30 years ago. The 18-turn circuit reaches top speeds of 340 kilometres per hour and closely follows the historic F1 track layout, running along East Terrace. South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas signed the contract with MotoGP executives, with backing from billionaire Sam Shahin, while the move has drawn criticism from Victorian officials and former premier Jeff Kennett.
