1006 - Manchester Metrolink: Trams in Manchester City Centre on Saturday 28th February 2026

Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 1006. We filmed Manchester Metrolink trams in the City Centre on Saturday 28th February 2026 as Manchester prepared to host the BRIT Awards that evening - the first time outside London. Many extra trams were running and we filmed three allover adverts that we had not yet managed to see: 3102 (formerly "there's no place like itv") now advertising L'Oreal cosmetics. 3107 was the second BRIT Awards advert (3076 being the other). 3117 was advertising Hoppers - a new Disney Pixar chidrens' film that was also being previewed on Saturday 28th February 2026 before official launch in early March. We saw other advert trams and filmed them as well and were surprised to see 3091 still running around advertising Prosecco - we thought it had been removed. We saw all three xtb bank adverts as well as the two Trafford Palazzo trams. 3080 advertising USDAW union was in service as was 3119 advertising Tap & Go.
