It may be in my top ten favorites, so far! I know I already love Middle Eastern flavors, but this meal is on the next level. with dacouse sauce Fresh salad, GREAT shrimp and rice dish. Who could ask for anything more. For the Rice 1 Tbs Vegetable Oil 3 Large Onion, finely chopped 1 Clove of Garlic 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander 1/2 lb. Large Shrimp, raw and peeled 1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper 1/2 tsp Salt 2 Cups Water 2 1/4 Cups Basmati Rice, uncooked 1/4 cup mung bean Topping for the shrimp 1/4 kg Shrimp, raw and peeled 1/8 Cup Vegetable Oil 1 Large Onion, cut into thin slices 1/4 tsp Ground Cardamom 1/2 tsp Curry Powder 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp Ground Cloves 1 Small Bunch Fresh coriander leaves roughly chopped 1 small Bunch fresh dill leaves roughly chopped 2 Dried Lemon whole 1 Clove of Garlic 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander 1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper Marinate shrimps with lemon ,pepper,turmeric powder &salt set a side in a large pan oil and fry the onion until it turns into golden brown followed by few gr.chilli and tomatoes and toss it well until the tomatoes get then add the marinated shrimps cook for 2-3 minutes While the onions are cooking, 1/2 tsp coriander powder.turmeric powder,cumin powder ,and curry powder until it become soft paste then add fresh chopped dill leaves and the coriander leaves five a good stir combine all the ingredients well and cook, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through. To prepare the rice Place a large pot on a high heat add oil and 1 large onion thinly chopped to the pot and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown. Once the onions are soft and starting to turn brown, add the garlic paste, chopped cilantro, ground cardamom, curry powder, turmeric, cloves, and dried lime ,dill leaves,coriander leaves to the pan and cook for 1 minute, stirring to thoroughly combine. add the rice & mung beans stir, reduce the heat to low, for 20 minutes. Once the rice has finished cooking, remove from heat. Fluff the rice with a fork and then spoon it out onto a plate. Spoon the shrimp topping over the bed of rice. Serve immediately.
