Kpandai MP Matthew Nyindam has finally been restored to Parliament following a court ruling that overturned the decision that declared his seat vacant. In this exclusive interview, the embattled lawmaker opens up about the emotional, political, and personal toll of the one-year legal battle that kept him out of Parliament. Nyindam says the period was “hell,” revealing that for over a year, he had no peace of mind to function as a Member of Parliament. He admits he was shocked by the Tamale High Court’s initial decision and describes the moment the Speaker of Parliament announced his seat as vacant as heartbreaking. According to him, his victory in Kpandai was a clear reflection of the will of the people, and the latest ruling has strengthened his faith in God and renewed his confidence in the judiciary. The Kpandai MP also speaks candidly about the behind-the-scenes support he received, including assistance from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other individuals. Despite the support, he reveals that he is financially drained and currently “zero” after the prolonged legal fight. He insists there will be no major issues in the constituency following his return, even though he acknowledges that some people may be unhappy with the outcome. Nyindam further alleges that he was treated differently by the Speaker of Parliament compared to his colleagues and claims that some parliamentary colleagues had plotted to remove him from Parliament even before the legal process began. As he prepares to return to the House, he says he will approach his work with more calm and maturity, while admitting that his relationship with some Majority MPs is likely to remain strained. #JoyNews #PMExpress#MyJoyOnline #JoyNews https://www.myjoyonline.com/ghana-news/ Subscribe for more videos just like this: / @myjoyonline Follow us on: Facebook: / joy997fm Twitter: / joy997fm Instagram: https://bit.ly/3J2l57
