This beautiful 20 min yoga stretching routine is focused entirely on hamstring flexibility. This short but very effective yoga practice is perfect for all levels. And there will be many modifications offered for beginners and those whose hamstrings are very tight. Remember that you can create a lot of difference in how you stretch by focusing on your breathing, staying mindful and present, continuously looking for more length and listening to my cues and guidance. This is what this "Love and Kindness" practice is all about. Gentle loving stretches for our tight muscles. I encourage you to take it slow and be mindful of every movement and every stretch that you create. Flexibility might take time so we need to be patient and consistent. Every time we step onto the mat is a blessing and a gift that we give to our body, soul and mind. You will notice that as we stretch we begin to let go of unnecessary tension and thoughts, worries and fear. We grant ourselves an opportunity to dive deeper into ourselves and step away from the outside world. It is a beautiful reason to feel grateful. Remember that consistency will inevitably bring results. Therefore you can repeat this 20 minute yoga stretching routine 2-3 times a week to see some progress. Depending on your flexibility you might need a set of blocks (you can grab a couple of books) and a folded blanket or towel. No warm up is required. We will begin with a little activation for hamstrings and glutes before we go deeper into our stretches. Throughout this practice I will keep reminding you to find connection to your breathing. Try not to neglect it as it plays a huge role in your yoga practice. It allows you to be present and aware. It reveals tension and resistance. It allows to surrender and let go.
