Oh Lord My God - Ashley Jade

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my channel! For this week's video, I decided to share with you all my original song for piano and voice, Oh Lord My God! This song was one that I wrote a few months back, and was inspired by the Christian show The Chosen. I had heard a verse from one of the trailers for an earlier season, but it was just written for the trailer, it wasn't a complete song. The verse, "Oh Lord, give me a sign, I'm tasting blood and I think that it's mine," just stuck with me, and try as I might, I just couldn't get it out of my head, so I decided to do something with it. And thus, my song was born! The verse was slightly altered for the purpose of fitting with all of the verses that I wrote around it, reading: "Oh Lord my God, won't you hear my cry? I'm tasting blood, and I think that it's mine." However, the inspiration from that one line in The Chosen trailer is still there, and is very much a part of the song; which is about some of the struggles that Christians face, especially in the light of everything that is going on in today's world. It's tough to pray for your enemies, and sometimes we don't want to, even though we should.
