DJ Warlock, real name Jason Alexander, is a UK electro, breaks and bass producer from Watford, though spent his teenage years in Stafford. Owns the Rag & Bone label. Member of the Dead Silence Syndicate. Warlock began DJing in 1989, with his first gig being at the Wasp Factory in Plymouth as well as founding his own pirate station, Mental FM. When Mental FM ceased he played on Innocence FM before moving to Pulse FM. That ended when he was taken to court by the DTI who confiscated his record collection, took all the studio equipment and fined him. A regular fixture on the rave circuit of the early 90s playing seminal parties such as Helter Skelter, Labrynth, Eurobeat 2000, Spiral Tribe and Knowledge. He then went on to write for the magazines Ravescene and Generator, as well as being the A&R for Kickin Records. He now hosts a weekly show on Kool FM. https://www.discogs.com/artist/145594... The 90.6 FM dial became famous because of Pulse FM Pulse FM continued to be popular in the years that succeeded its reign of supremacy, with successors stations Chicago FM, Mission FM and Y2K FM all following in its footsteps of greatness. They were active between the years 1991-1995 and were later succeeded by Chicago FM which was set up by Badger B who had left Freek FM. Pulse FM held many successful events in conjunction with The Pirate Club for a night called "Pirates Independence" @ Roller Express (Edmonton). Also holding an event called "Radio Active" @Roller Express, and another night called "Promised Land" @ Bass Box Warehouse, Unit H9, Edmonton. Pulse 90.6 FM was one of many pirate radio stations that emerged in London during this time, as a way for DJs and music enthusiasts to share their love of electronic dance music with a wider audience. Pirate radio stations were broadcasting without a licence, and they often faced legal challenges and interference from law enforcement. Pulse 90.6 FM had a number of prominent DJs who became associated with the station, including names like DJ Randall, DJ Ash, DJ Swane, and DJ Outrage. These DJs played a key role in shaping the sound of the station and helping to establish it as a leading voice in London's rave scene. Despite facing challenges from the authorities, Pulse 90.6 FM was able to operate for several years, and it remains a significant part of London's electronic dance music history.
